RF Drone Detectors

RF Drone Detectors are passive detection systems designed to monitor the surrounding radio-frequency environment and identify communication signals associated with unmanned aerial vehicles and their remote controllers. By analyzing RF transmissions, these systems can provide early warning of UAV activity without emitting radar signals, making them suitable for continuous and discreet airspace monitoring.

Depending on system configuration and signal conditions, RF detection technology can identify drone presence, classify supported UAV types, estimate signal direction and locate the approximate position of the aircraft or operator. Detected information can be displayed through an integrated command platform, including alert time, signal characteristics, direction, location and movement history.

RF drone detectors are available in portable, fixed-site and vehicle-mounted configurations. They can operate independently or be integrated with radar, EO/IR tracking systems and command-and-control platforms to create a layered counter-UAS detection network and improve identification reliability.

Typical capabilities include:

  • Passive radio-frequency monitoring
  • Early warning of UAV activity
  • Detection of UAV and remote-controller signals
  • Signal identification and classification
  • Direction finding and approximate geolocation
  • Drone and operator position estimation
  • Multi-target detection and tracking
  • Real-time alerts and event recording
  • Detection-history display and data analysis
  • Configurable monitoring frequency ranges
  • Fixed-site, portable and vehicle-mounted deployment
  • Integration with radar and EO/IR systems
  • Connection to counter-UAS command-and-control platforms
  • Customized coverage and networking solutions

RF drone detection solutions can be configured according to the required coverage area, monitored frequency bands, deployment environment and integration requirements, supporting airspace protection for airports, borders, critical infrastructure, industrial facilities, public events and other sensitive locations.
